About HAC
Hatfield Arts Centre (HAC) is the name of an organisation based in Pretoria East, South Africa that acts as an umbrella for a number of smaller divisions that fall under the direct control of the HAC management team. HAC falls under the covering of Hatfield Christian Church, and the individual divisions initially started out with a 'church-based' ministry focus, ministering to congregation members who wanted music lessons, or who wanted to be part of the dance ministry team. As time passed, there was a definite move away from the need for a 'church-based' ministry only focus and we started opening up what we had to offer to the local community. In our first year we had over 100% growth in students and the necessity to bring all the constituent parts under one roof, as it were, became more and more evident. Currently, HAC comprises of NOVO Factories (creative art schools), a full-time Worship Academy, Hatfield Music Publishing CC (a Music Publishing House) and Turnaround Music (a Record Label).
The various NOVO Factories offer lessons in Music (Classical & Contemporary), Drama, Dance & Fine Art as well as short courses in more diverse topics such as 'music appreciation & interpretation', 'basic music theory', 'fine art & visual imagery' etc. The Worship Academy is a 6-month, full-time course for people called to full-time music ministry. The course trains them to have a lifestyle of worship and prepares them for the challenges they may face in the ministry. Hatfield Music Publishing CC started as a publishing house for song-writers based in Hatfield Christian Church but has expanded to include other artists who appreciate our efforts in the music industry to put the power and control back into the hands of the artist. Our record label, Turnaround Music, was started to facilitate the various distribution deals that we have with some of our artists as well as to publish our own home-grown CD's.
HAC is dedicated to the redemption of the arts, transparent business dealings and healthy relationships. Our NOVO Factory teachers are passionate and knowledgeable and understand that the holistic development of the student and not only the impartation of information is the goal for all our lessons and courses. HMPcc and Turnaround Music are run on sound Christian principles where the focus is always on serving the artist to the best of our ability.
